Context: 
As a Program Manager at Amazon Fresh Private Brands International (AFPBI), I have the privilege of overseeing a diverse portfolio of hundreds of products, delivering high-quality private food brands to customers worldwide. My role involves orchestrating seamless collaboration across multiple key stakeholders, including legal teams, product developers, food safety experts, and a design agency, ensuring every detail aligns with brand standards and compliance requirements. By driving strategic planning, fostering stakeholder alignment, and managing complex workflows, I play a pivotal role in bringing innovative, customer-focused food products to market.
Problem: 
As a single-threaded owner in a fast-paced environment with dozens of stakeholders across legal, product development, food safety, vendor management and design, managing the delivery of hundreds of private brand products is a complex and time-intensive process. A significant portion of the work relied on manual methods, which slowed down delivery timelines, introduce a higher risk of errors, and limited available visibility of project progress. These inefficiencies create challenges in maintaining alignment, ensuring accuracy, and meeting delivery deadlines, ultimately impacting the overall efficiency and success of the brand.
Solution: 
Leveraging my technical background and program management expertise, I tackled these challenges by designing a scalable and largely automated artwork process to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. I onboarded tools and systems in collaboration with tech teams, replacing manual tasks with automated solutions to improve accuracy and visibility. Additionally, I conducted comprehensive training sessions to empower our talent with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilise these tools. This approach accelerated delivery timelines, minimised errors, and established a streamlined and sustainable operational framework that is scalable. The tools have been used cross-functionally in different job families and have had a wider impact than initially planned.
This process now allows for consistent and easy-to-predict critical paths for delivery, while allowing room to creatively direct impactful designs and brand decisions implemented by our creative agencies (see below).
